| December Program Highlights |
|
(Editors Note: Remember, there is no ISES program in January. Our next program will be Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 4 pm at Theatre de la Jeune Lune in Minneapolis. The program will discuss "Creative Collaboration" with the artistic directors of the theatre. For this program, we will be "collaborating" with Twin City Bridal Association members. Sure to be a unique experience, mark your calendars and plan to join us February 21st.)

The ISES December event was amazing! As this was my second program, I didn't know what to expect. Our sponsors Midway Party Rental and Stems and Vines created a space that was decorated beautifully. Draping off all the walls with white drape and blue lighting, they turned the ballroom into a sheik, wintry lounge. My favorite part was the high-top table in the middle of the room covered with chandelier and orchids strands. Vic Volare who provided the evening's entertainment was certainly entertaining. He had me dancing from table to table as I treated myself on the delicious food provided by The Grand Hotel.

Nearly 120 ISES Minneapolis-St. Paul family and friends gathered at the Grand Hotel. Program Sponsors Midway Party Rental and Stems and Vines "Decked the Ballroom" for this Holiday Affair.

Andrea Bach (middle) from apres party and tent rental chats with (l to r) Char Mason from Char Mason and Associates, Todd Pinzuti from Bungalow 6, and Cookie Coleman, Cookie Coleman Company.
|
As I walked around the room, I heard friends reminiscing and sharing memories. I found myself meeting and making new friends and I saw people truly enjoying themselves. It was obvious to me that people were delighted to be at this holiday party. As a student member it is so encouraging to see people who are passionate about their careers and love what they do. I can't wait for the next program!

Meetings: Minesota's Hospitality Journal is seeking nominations for the top Industry Innovator. Like in year’s past, they have asked ISES to help identify who is making a contribution to our local meeting and event community. We in turn are asking our members and guests, "Do you know someone who is doing things differently, setting a trend or helping make a name for the Minnesota event industry?"
If you would like to nominate someone as an Industry Innovator, please email their name, title and company along with why they should be considered (please also include your name and either an email address or phone number where we can reach you) to info@ises-msp.org.
